Tweezers
Tweezers are a necessity in first aid. An automatic tweezer makes the task easier. Hospitals use Green Bell tweezers.
Tweezers are a tool used to pick up items that are too small to be picked up with the human hand. A tweezer is a necessary tool to have in first aid kits in case of accidents such as slivers and cuts that have foreign matter embedded inside. When one thinks of tweezers, the basic tweezer comes to mind, when in actuality, there are a few different varieties of tweezers available. Many women like the appearance of a gold tweezer in their purse or manicure set. A gold tweezer, such as a 24k gold, can be used as part of the first aid paraphernalia, but usually are purchased for cosmetic reasons.
The Emjoi tweezer is used for hair removal and is usually part of a shaving set. The Emjoi tweezer is a handy and useful tool in first aid kits in case of a cut or abrasion in an area where hair or whiskers may need to be removed to avoid infection. They are an electrical operated shaving system with 36 tweezers all working at once to give the fastest most efficient hair removal. Emjoi also makes a very handy automatic tweezer that removes the finest hair with pinpoint precision.
Another version of tweezers is the Henckels tweezer, which uses a slanted mouth for those hard to reach items. Made with satin finished stainless steel, the Henckels tweezer is used as part of premium manicure and pedicure sets. Their durability and corrosion resistance make them an excellent addition to the first aid kit that will be used outdoors or in humid conditions. The Seki edge tweezer is designed with a wide lens attached to give you the best possible view of what you are doing. The pointed tip allows you to grab the tiniest of item. They come with your choice of a narrow or wide handle.
Hospitals use the Green Bell tweezer as a part of their hospital supplies and in their first aid kits. Green Bell tweezers can be purchased as a 2-piece set and are very inexpensive. Researchers at Bell Lab were the first to introduce the optical tweezers in 1986. By the use of laser beams, optical tweezers can pick up an item without actually touching it. These are mostly used in surgical procedures. With the combination of other laser beams, they can pick up the smallest things such as chromosomes without ever making contact.
For hospitals or retail stores that more than one tweezer, bulk ordering is what they will use. This gives them a large quantity of tweezers at a lesser cost than if they purchased just one. Many times bulk items are not package, but are loose in a box or bag. They can also be purchased in a tweezer set. 24 pieces or more may be included in the set of surgical tools.
